Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everyone knows Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. But let’s get our priorities straight: so is Galentine’s Day.
What’s Galentine’s Day, you ask?

Galentine’s Day is a day where you celebrate your lady friends and is traditionally observed on they day before Valentine’s Day. In a world where women are typically pitted against each other {as if there isn’t room enough for all of us}, Galentine’s Day proudly declares that we will support each other and celebrate our differences whatever they may be. So this year, be sure to send your lady friends a very special Galentine’s Day wish. And while you’re at it, check out this list for some awesome gift ideas, too.

This Galentine’s Day, be sure to let your best lady gal pals know you celebrate them, you opalescent tree shark, you! I remember one Galentine’s Day weekend some years ago a bestie and I holed ourselves in her apartment, ordered takeout, and spent the weekend watching The Godfather trilogy. What a beautiful weekend that was.
